The vice-president of the Diputació de Lleida, Estefania Rufach, participated in the conference's opening, which gathered business leaders, executives, and professionals to discuss how innovation and AI can optimize processes and enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Rufach highlighted the importance of bringing technological knowledge closer to local businesses and creating spaces for sharing experiences and learning about real-world AI applications. She emphasized that "hearing what other organizations have tried, what has worked for them, and what obstacles they have encountered can help in making one's own decisions," and noted that this reflection from Balaguer brings innovation closer to the businesses of La Noguera.
The conference featured presentations by experts such as Josep Maria Ganyet, who spoke on artificial intelligence. Practical case studies were also presented: David Aguilar (Universitat de Lleida) discussed the relationship between UdL and AI; Ingrid Graells (Beroni) showcased AI implementation in tourism web projects; and Ferran Alemany (Torrons i Mel Alemany) shared his company's experience.
The program concluded with a networking session, a practical workshop by CompsaOnline on integrating AI into the business environment, and a panel discussion on technological innovation and applied AI, featuring Dani Rodes, Daniel Vidal, Aleix Valls, Raül Roca, and Josep Lluís Checa.
