The Albesa City Council has issued a municipal decree appealing for civility after various acts of vandalism were reported over the past week, including egg-throwing incidents against vehicles and homes.

According to the council, a group of young people, some with their faces covered, allegedly committed several acts of vandalism affecting vehicles, homes, and public spaces in the town. The incidents began with eggs being thrown at cars near the Plaça dels Sarraïns, later extending to house facades, and firecrackers being thrown in various parts of the municipality.
The council has labeled these actions as “criminal acts” and urged an end to such behavior out of respect for coexistence, safety, and private property. The Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalan Police) have been notified to take necessary measures and increase surveillance in the town.
Mayor Antoni Balasch stated that, in addition to the council's complaint, affected residents have also filed their own reports. The decree aims to foster citizen cooperation to warn the young individuals and raise awareness about the seriousness of acts that undermine freedom and community life.
While the exact identity of the perpetrators is unknown, they are believed to be local youths. The council has urged affected residents to report incidents and has asked parents of teenagers to caution their children about the risks and consequences of such behavior.
