A total of 130 athletes competed on Saturday in Balaguer in the sixth edition of the Youth Triathlon, held around the Segre river park.

The event featured a course with up to 300 meters of swimming, 11 kilometers of cycling, and 2,500 meters of running. The competition brought together participants from U13 categories up to the absolute class, which this year introduced the Super Sprint format.
One of the major attractions of the day was the Catalan Road Triathlon Championship for the U15, U17, and U20 categories. This competition was also a scoring event for the 2026 Tri Jove Circuit.
Out of the 130 athletes who came from all over Catalonia and other parts of Spain, ten competed at home representing the Club Esportiu Pedala.cat Balaguer. Despite not achieving any podium finishes, the local participants reported positive feelings, emphasizing the special nature of competing in their hometown.
The event was organized by the Club Esportiu Pedala.cat Balaguer and its Athletics School, in collaboration with the Sports Department of the Paeria and the support of the Catalan Triathlon Federation.
