Identification plaques of tree species in an urban environment.

The Aiguafreda City Council has installed new identification plaques for 20 tree species found in the municipality, including both native and exotic varieties adapted to the urban environment.

Recently, plaques have been placed identifying 20 tree species present in the streets, squares, and parks of Aiguafreda. These signs detail native species, such as the holm oak, ash, pine, or alder, as well as exotic ones that have adapted well to the urban setting, like the pagoda tree, tulip tree, flowering pear, or cedar.
Although the diversity of trees in the municipality is greater, the plaques focus on the most significant species visible at street level. These elements follow a route through the urban sector, connecting the Font dels Enamorats (Lovers' Fountain) with Sant Salvador, and invite residents to discover and admire the vegetation enriching their immediate surroundings.
Citizens can consult the complete list of the twenty identified species, as well as a detailed map indicating the locations of the various marked trees.
