The Veus del Ter choir from Manlleu has organized for this Saturday, July 18th, at five in the afternoon, at the Puig Agut sanctuary, a tribute concert to celebrate the 80th birthday of a key figure in the choral singing of the Osona region. This is Pere Sellarès, a director with a long-standing connection to various Osona choirs, including the two Manlleu choirs: Les Veus del Ter and Serpencanta.
Sellarès has dedicated his life to choral singing, directing and founding groups such as the Escreix choir in Borgonyà and promoting the creation of the Xicalla and Brusquina choirs in Vic, also managing their stage presence. Furthermore, he has served as a trainer for choral singing directors throughout Catalonia and has spearheaded significant musical events.
The event, celebrating Catalan choral singing, is free and open to all citizens.
