The pro-independence movement Dempeus per la Independència has initiated a signature collection campaign to demand the resignation of the head of the Mossos d'Esquadra, Josep Lluís Trapero, following the scandal of agent infiltration into a teachers' assembly in Osona.

The initiative, promoted through the Change.org platform, expresses the movement's "absolute condemnation" of the scandal and supports the affected individuals and the legal, union, and social actions that have been launched, such as the complaint filed by a group of lawyers from Osona.
Dempeus considers it "extremely serious" that teachers have been "subject to espionage and surveillance by police apparatuses," actions it deems incompatible with basic democratic principles and an "intolerable violation" of civil rights. "No society that wishes to be free and democratic can normalize the surveillance, infiltration, or criminalization of social movements, unions, or spaces of popular participation," the statement asserts.

No society that wishes to be free and democratic can normalize the surveillance, infiltration, or criminalization of social movements, unions, or spaces of popular participation.

In addition to Trapero's resignation, the sovereignist movement calls on the Department of the Interior to assume "political responsibilities" and demands "absolute transparency" regarding all political infiltration operations by the Mossos. They also request "democratic guarantees" to prevent similar events or "false accusations of Montserrat" against pro-independence activists from recurring.
Dempeus per la Independència advocates for institutions that serve citizens and freedoms, believing that independence is the only path to building a "fully free democracy" within the Spanish State, which it describes as an "heir to authoritarian dynamics and profoundly hostile to any expression of Catalan popular and national organization."
