The Serpent Association has organized various initiatives to celebrate the festival's twentieth anniversary, including the screening of a documentary and the exhibition El Serpent de Manlleu: Una llegenda viva (The Serpent of Manlleu: A Living Legend).
The audiovisual piece, directed by Xef Vila, is approximately twenty minutes long and recounts anecdotes, as well as shedding light on the organizational work and the stories the Serpent has generated over two decades.
The exhibition, located on the first floor of the Museu del Ter, features a journey through the festival's posters from its inception, as well as iconic original elements such as the horse, the narrator's jacket, the seagulls, the diamond, and the first Serpent ever built.
The aim of these activities is to showcase twenty years of collective work, ensure the festival's continuity for future generations, and establish it as a symbol of Manlleu's identity, promoting its history throughout Catalonia and internationally.
The exhibition will be open to the public until August 30th. Visiting hours are Tuesdays to Fridays, from 11 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm, and Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, from 10 am to 2 pm.
