The stand of the Birding Ter Fair, held last weekend at the Delta Birding Festival, attended approximately 400 people interested in promoting the next edition (May 7-9, 2027) and in the natural and ornithological resources of Osona and the fluvial area of the Ter River.
The initiative, coordinated by technical staff from the Manlleu City Council and Osona Turisme, served to raise awareness of the region throughout Catalonia within the main ornithology and nature event in the Mediterranean, which brought together over 5,000 attendees.
During the festival, an institutional visit was organized to learn about the management models of reference events. The meeting was attended by representatives such as Pere Puig (Councillor for Economic Promotion of the Manlleu City Council), Inés Martí (Councillor for Tourism of the Amposta City Council), Eva Font (Head of the OPE Empresa service), and Isabel Villalbí (Head of Area for Social and Economic Development of the Amposta City Council).
This meeting facilitated the exchange of experiences on public-private collaboration, the organization of specialized events, and governance models for promoting fairs related to nature tourism and birdwatching.
Participation in the Delta Birding Festival reinforces the Birding Ter Fair's commitment to promoting the natural values of Manlleu and Osona, fostering sustainable tourism that contributes to the knowledge, conservation, and appreciation of river ecosystems and their species.
