The Montesquiu Town Council held an insect hotel workshop on Saturday, October 17, 2026, as part of the "Viu la Terra" (Live the Earth) workshop series, coinciding with the International Day Against Climate Change.

During the event, each participant had the opportunity to build their own insect hotel and learn about the characteristics of local insects. These hotels offer shelter and nesting sites for beneficial insects, thereby aiding biodiversity conservation, facilitating pollination, and contributing to natural pest control.
As part of the same project, three new insect hotels will be installed in various public spaces in Montesquiu over the coming week, continuing efforts to promote biodiversity within the municipality.
