Left-back Joel Arumí (2000) has returned to Olot (Segunda Federación) to regain confidence and playing time after a complicated season spent at Andorra and Hércules in the higher division.

After a difficult period where he did not get the expected minutes, the footballer from Sant Julià de Vilatorta chose to take a step down and return to the Garrotxa region. He states he is very happy with the decision, as he is now enjoying football and competition again.

"I needed to be close to home to regain confidence and feel important, and returning to Olot was the best option."

Arumí signed for Andorra with an ambitious project, but an initial injury complicated his stay, leading him to move in winter to Hércules, where he also did not find the desired opportunities. This frustrating season served as a learning experience, helping him value the present more.
The full-back also spent three years with the Atlético de Madrid reserve team, where he experienced unforgettable moments, including promotion to Primera Federación and training with the first team. He recalls sharing sessions with figures like Luis Suárez, Griezmann, João Félix, and Oblak, under the command of Cholo Simeone.

"I remember that when I met Cholo for the first time he already knew my name and, whether you like it or not, that shocks you."

Although he did not debut with the senior team, Arumí values the experience, highlighting the opportunity to play in stadiums like La Rosaleda in Málaga. He started playing football at six years old in Sant Julià de Vilatorta and, despite the obstacles, he remains firm in his dream: “I will fight for my dream of being a professional footballer.”
