The Town Council of Sant Julià de Vilatorta has announced the reprint of the book Summering in Sant Julià de Vilatorta (1885-1950), authored by Montse Piqué, following its excellent reception and numerous requests.

The publication, originally released in 2018, originated from the Route of Modernist and Noucentist Architecture in the town. Building on this initiative, the author delved into the stories linked to the buildings and their protagonists, resulting in a work that captures the social, political, and cultural context of the municipality between 1885 and 1950.
Through its pages, readers can discover aspects of daily life from the era, including local festivals, costume balls, the arrival of public transport coaches, the families who summered there, and the service staff who were also part of this phenomenon that marked a period in local history.
The book is available for purchase at the Atelier and the Town Council offices in Sant Julià de Vilatorta for €22.
It is considered an essential work for understanding the history, heritage, and social life of Sant Julià de Vilatorta in the late 19th and first half of the 20th centuries.
