The 28th Festa del Bolet (Mushroom Festival) will take place in Seva on Sunday, October 11th. The event will offer visitors the opportunity to discover the fascinating world of mushrooms, taste seasonal products, and enjoy the stalls set up in the town center.
One of the central activities will be the mushroom contest, open from 9 AM to 3 PM, with four categories: largest mushroom, most original mushroom, greatest variety, and best presentation. All participants will receive a gift. The award ceremony and an exhibition of fresh mushrooms will be held at 6 PM in the Plaça de l’Església.
The program also includes three guided tours for mushroom foraging, with departures at 9 AM, 11:30 AM, and 4 PM from the Plaça de l’Església. Additionally, there will be a cooking demonstration with mushrooms at 11 AM, a talk on mushroom-related proverbs at 12:30 PM, and an identification workshop at 5 PM.
Attendees can find stalls selling local products, gastronomic tastings, children's workshops, shows, and performances. The festival will feature the Gegants i Grallers de Seva (Giants and Drummers of Seva), a classic vehicle exhibition, and a family entertainment zone. The local restaurant guide will also offer special proposals for the day.
Furthermore, visitors can participate in the basket weight guessing contest, where correctly guessing the weight will win its contents. Entry costs 1 euro, and official weigh-ins will take place at 12 PM, 1 PM, 5 PM, and 6 PM at the Fruites Cortiella stall, located on Carrer de la Rocada.
