The Town Hall of Vilanova de Sau has organized an autumn excursion departing from Vilanova de Sau, Folgueroles, and Vic. Registrations can be made at the Town Hall until October 9th, with limited places. The payment of €47 will be made on the day of the excursion.
The program will begin at 07:30h with departures from the various points. A stop for breakfast during the journey is included, but it is not part of the price.
At 11:00h, a guided tour of the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Poblet is scheduled. This Cistercian monastery is the largest inhabited abbey in Europe and one of the most important historical monuments in Catalonia, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1991.
Subsequently, at 13:00h, participants will take a walk through the medieval town of Montblanc. Lunch will take place at 14:30h in Pla de Santa Maria.
The lunch menu includes a first course of free-range chicken cannelloni with foie and saffron béchamel. For the second course, attendees can choose between baked hake with mussels and potatoes, or beef fricandó. Dessert will be a chocolate lava cake with cream.
The return journey home will be at a scheduled time. The organization provides participants with a free coach and guide, courtesy of the Town Hall.
