23-year-old dies in workplace accident in Esterri d'Àneu

A 23-year-old man died this Friday in Esterri d'Àneu, in Pallars Sobirà, after a stone wall fell on him while he was renovating a house.

The incident occurred in the morning, when the Mossos d'Esquadra received notification of the events. The Catalan police have launched an investigation to determine the exact causes of the fatal accident.
Judicial authorities, specifically the investigating court on duty in Tremp, as well as the Department of Enterprise and Labour, have been informed of the incident.
Several emergency units responded to the scene, including three fire crews from the Generalitat Firefighters and personnel from the Emergency Medical System (SEM), in addition to the Mossos d'Esquadra.
