The Diputació de Lleida has initiated rehabilitation works on the Bastida de Sort crossing, located on the LV-5223a road. The project, with a total budget of 86,038.89 euros, focuses on reconstructing a five-meter-high riprap wall on the right side of the road to reinforce its stability.

The improvements also include the complete replacement of the road surface, renewal of vertical and horizontal signage, and the installation of 44 meters of safety barriers to ensure user safety.

The deputy for the Technical Services area of the provincial entity, Cristina Morón, highlighted that these works align with the Diputació's commitment to improving its roads to "guarantee safe and efficient mobility". Morón emphasized that "investing in local roads is synonymous with continuing to work to address the demographic challenge and ensure territorial balance".

Upon completion of the works, the road will be transferred to the Sort City Council through an agreement, as part of the institutional collaboration between the two administrations.
