The game started with difficulties for the visitors in long-range shooting, with an initial 0/6 from three-point range. The second quarter began with a three-pointer from Andy Duval, and solid defense allowed CBT to open a gap (15-21) after a 0-7 run. Despite a local reaction with two three-pointers, the visitors managed to tie the score at 25 thanks to Alan Beltran. Mollerussa regained the lead before halftime (33-27), but a 0-9 run by CBT, with shots from Nguema and Duch, allowed them to go into the locker room with an advantage (33-36).
The second half started with a three-pointer from captain David Fernández, followed by another from Iker Fernández. With Diallo and Loras dominating the rebounds, and Suárez directing operations, the difference widened to over 10 points (33-46) after a second triple from Andy Duval. However, Carlos Alberto led Mollerussa's comeback with 12 consecutive points, and a three-pointer from Roger Besora tied the game again (52-52).
In the final stretch, a layup by Fer Suárez gave the visitors a minimal lead. Nevertheless, CBT collapsed offensively, and home team three-pointers put Mollerussa back in front (71-65). The team from Pla d'Urgell capitalized on this advantage to secure the victory in the competition's opening match.
This Sunday, Ibersol CBT will host CB Salou at the Serrallo in what will be the final game of the three-team group the Tarragona-based team is part of.
