Mollerussa achieved an important 2-1 victory against Manresa at the Municipal stadium on Sunday, January 18, earning three crucial points in the first match of the second round.

Mollerussa started the match at the Municipal showcasing their football, although Manresa was initially superior. In the 21st minute, a great play by Scuri on the right wing allowed Dueso to open the scoring. Just three minutes later, Lamin and Guillem Porta stole the ball, leading to an assist that Franki converted for the 2-0 lead against goalkeeper Pulido (24').
However, Manresa reacted before halftime. In the 33rd minute, following a corner kick headed by Matheus, the rebound fell to Aleix Díaz, who beat goalkeeper Pepo. Mollerussa struggled to maintain the lead until the break, being saved by two shots hitting the post, including a header from Dueso.

In the second half, Manresa dominated the 45 minutes completely, forcing goalkeeper Pepo to make several crucial saves.

Despite Manresa's overwhelming dominance in the second half, Cazorla's team successfully defended their minimal advantage. The effort and determination of the Pla d'Urgell players were key to securing the three points against a rival highly likely to reach the promotion play-offs.
With this victory, Mollerussa adds three vital points and moves into fourteenth position. Their next commitment will be on Sunday, January 25, at 12:00 h against L'Hospitalet in Barcelona territory.
