The new electric bus joins the municipal urban transport service, meeting the need for a more modern means of transport adapted to the town's characteristics. This 7.5-meter-long vehicle is designed for urban environments with narrow streets and steep slopes, like those in Flix, and has a minimum capacity of 33 passengers. It includes a reserved space for people with reduced mobility, with an access ramp, and advanced safety systems.
The introduction of this bus marks a significant step towards more sustainable mobility, as its 100% electric nature reduces polluting emissions associated with urban transport and contributes to improving air quality in the municipality.
The project involved an investment of 295,000 euros plus VAT, entirely funded by Nuclear Transition Funds. This investment aligns with the goals of renewing public services and energy transition.
The launch of the new service included the installation of a charging point and technical training for municipal staff and drivers. The aim is to continue improving and modernizing municipal public transport to offer a more accessible, efficient, and comfortable service.
