The Ascó Batega festival begins a new phase on Saturday, June 27th, with the launch of its Classical Cycle, featuring Quartet Vivancos at the Centre Cultural Magatzem de Rita.

The Ascó Batega festival will embark on a new chapter next Saturday, June 27th, with the inauguration of its Classical Cycle, one of the key novelties for this edition. The opening concert will be performed by the Quartet Vivancos, an emerging ensemble of young musicians with a growing reputation, who will perform at 8 PM at the Centre Cultural Magatzem de Rita. Admission will be free.
This performance marks the debut of a proposal that enhances the festival's cultural scope and reaffirms Ascó Batega's commitment to bringing quality artistic projects to the municipality, making them accessible to all citizens and connecting with new generations of performers.
The Quartet Vivancos will be the first of five concerts comprising this new chamber music cycle, supported by the Culture Department of Ascó. The ensemble will present a repertoire designed to allow the audience to experience the intimacy and intensity characteristic of chamber music, in a venue like the Magatzem de Rita, which is particularly suited for such concerts.

"This concert symbolizes the beginning of an initiative that aims to bring classical music to all audiences and demonstrate that municipalities can also drive cultural projects with ambition, quality, and a future vision."

Josep Maria Raduà · Culture Councillor of Ascó
The organization invites both residents of Ascó and visitors from afar to participate in this first cultural event of the summer and to discover a program that blends established ensembles, emerging talent, and projects connected to the local area.
The Classical Cycle will continue throughout the summer with performances scheduled for July 4th featuring the chamber choir Noctes; July 25th with Kebyart; August 15th with the closing concert of the artistic residency Ascó Batega Jove; and will conclude on September 11th with the Trio Fortuny.
With this opening concert, Ascó Batega aims to establish itself as a meeting point for music, heritage, and the cultural life of the town, launching a new cultural initiative.
