The initiative, promoted by the Department of Culture of Ascó, seeks to consolidate the municipality as a cultural benchmark in the Ribera d'Ebre region. The cycle includes five free concerts featuring prestigious groups such as Kebyart and the Trio Fortuny, as well as showcasing emerging talents like the Quartet Vivancos and the Noctes chamber choir.
One of the pillars of this edition is the collaboration with ESMUC to develop an artistic residency. This activity, called Ascó Batega Jove, will allow students and recent graduates to work on their musical specialties, culminating in a performance on August 15th.
“"We want to bring high-quality artistic proposals to the public, generate opportunities for emerging talent, and demonstrate that rural municipalities can also be spaces for creation."
The chosen repertoire combines pieces by classical composers such as F. Schubert or R. Schumann with contemporary works by local creators. In addition, the festival maintains its commitment to music in Catalan with prominent performances such as Els Catarres, The Tyets, and Ginestà, which complete the event's festive offerings.
