From September 25 to 27, Móra d’Ebre will transform into an open-air artistic stage with the third edition of the Grafftech Fest. This festival, which merges urban art, culture, heritage, and new technologies, will feature two new large-format murals this year, adding to the town's artistic route.
The new artistic interventions will take place at Plaça Sant Roc and under the Pont de les Arcades. Artists Eslicer and Rul Disseny will bring these works to life, working live throughout the three festival days, from 9 AM to 9 PM.
Grafftech Fest first arrived in Móra d’Ebre in 2024 with murals dedicated to the Ebro River, agriculture, and sculptor Julio Antonio, incorporating interactive elements like QR codes and augmented reality. The second edition, in 2025, focused on historical and local female figures, solidifying the project as a permanent artistic and heritage route.
The Councilor for Culture and Heritage, Montse Pineda, highlighted that this edition "allows a project that is already part of the cultural landscape of Móra d’Ebre to grow, enabling us to explain our heritage in a different, attractive, and contemporary way". Pineda also emphasized the festival's ability to transform spaces and create new points of interest, turning the municipality into an "authentic open-air art gallery".
The councilor praised the festival's blend of tradition and innovation, which uses new languages to discuss history, culture, and territory. Previous editions have already integrated QR codes, augmented reality, and virtual reality to offer immersive visitor experiences.
The festival will be complemented by cultural and musical activities organized by local entities. On Saturday, September 26, the Colla de Tambors dels Diables Sheron will perform an itinerant show starting from Plaça Sant Roc. On Sunday, September 27, the Band of the Municipal School of Music and Dance of Móra d’Ebre will perform at 12 PM, followed by La Ritmera de l’Ebre at 6:30 PM, both starting from the same square.
Montse Pineda emphasized the festival's community aspect, allowing people to witness the creation of murals and making "the process as important as the finished work". She encouraged residents and visitors to discover Móra d’Ebre, its culture, and history through the murals and activities.
The Grafftech Fest is organized by the Móra d’Ebre City Council, with support from the Tarragona Provincial Council and the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya, along with the collaboration of local cultural entities. This initiative strengthens a permanent urban art and technology route aimed at valuing local heritage.
