The Camprodon Town Council has launched a new multi-sport court in the Ritortell area, on Llandrius Street, aiming to promote physical activity and community cohesion among residents.

This new facility, located where the skate park previously stood, is a direct response to requests from residents, especially younger ones. The artificial turf court is equipped with two basketball hoops, two soccer goals, and a volleyball net, offering great versatility for various sports.

"We installed it where the skate park was, which we relocated because residents complained about the noise. The town's youth asked us for a space like this, to be able to play football and basketball, especially. We found this solution of a multi-sport court, which we believe is very suitable."

The council has emphasized that this facility was highly requested by the inhabitants of Camprodon and its purpose is to foster physical activity, healthy habits, and social cohesion. Additionally, it seeks to expand opportunities for active leisure for all ages within the municipality.

"The truth is that apart from the school court and the sports area, there was no space like this in the municipality. We needed another street court."

The total cost of the project amounted to 24,193.95 euros. Of this amount, over 8,000 euros were subsidized by the Diputació de Girona, through the A3 program, aimed at improving and conditioning sports facilities.
