The main objective of this new comarcal project office is to secure more public funds, enhance access to supramunicipal grants and programs, and strengthen the Ripollès region's ability to drive transformative initiatives. This proposal is part of the Consell Comarcal del Ripollès's Action Program for 2026-2027 and aims to be realized before the end of the current term.
The future office, which will fall under the Management area, seeks to optimize and consolidate a project-oriented culture as a support tool for municipalities and the council itself, in order to attract more resources from larger administrations. The intention is for it to be built upon municipal alliances for the development, drafting, management, and justification of projects that secure external funding.
Providing the Ripollès region and its municipalities with this service is considered a key driver for promoting the region's development and competitiveness, strengthening its capacity to lead transformative initiatives.
One of the central aspects of the new office's work will be housing. It will be tasked with maximizing the opportunities presented by the Catalan Government's Housing Plan, building on studies that have identified 768 vacant homes in the Ripollès. The office will provide support and guidance to municipalities in advancing their housing projects, in accordance with their competencies and needs.
