Palestina FC has been crowned champion of the first edition of the Ripollès Trophy, held in Ripoll. In other categories, teams Va com Va, Siscus Jr, and UDC Torredonjimeno also secured victories. Despite organizational challenges, such as coinciding with another trophy event in Campdevànol, organizers expressed satisfaction with maintaining sports activity throughout July.
Adrià Boixassa, one of the organizers, highlighted the event's success: «We can say it went well. We had 20 teams, and this past week has been very positive, with many families coming to watch the matches. We can consider it a success».
In the grand final, Palestina FC defeated Equipo Elite. In the women's category, Va com Va overcame Raïm Unit. In the veterans' category, Torredonjimeno beat the veterans of Ripoll. Finally, in the junior category, Siscus Jr triumphed over Segadell.
Gerard Muñoz, also an organizer, noted that the registered teams and public attendance were very positive for a first edition. «For the first year of this new format, the teams are very happy. Staying in Ripoll has allowed us to enjoy the usual atmosphere, with this great field. There are things to improve, but we are satisfied».
The organization has already confirmed that the Ripollès Trophy intends to continue in Ripoll in the coming years, having received approval from the City Council for its organization next summer. The goal is to grow edition by edition to become a benchmark summer tournament.
