A fire in nearby bushes has forced the interruption of the R2 North Rodalies line service between El Prat de Llobregat and Barcelona Airport for an hour this Saturday.

The blaze, which broke out close to the tracks, required the intervention of the Generalitat Firefighters and led to the activation of the Ferrocat emergency plan in pre-alert phase shortly before 7 PM. Service was restored after 8 PM.
This Saturday also saw incidents on the R3 line, connecting Ripoll and Ribes de Freser, due to a catenary failure. According to Adif, the problem appears to have been caused by "the action of individuals external to the railway infrastructure" on the catenary.
This breakdown caused a train to be immobilized on the track. Additionally, the R11 line experienced a disruption between Figueres and Portbou due to a lack of tension in the overhead line, although service has since been restored using a single track.
These incidents conclude a challenging week for Rodalies de Catalunya, which already suffered a total network shutdown last Tuesday due to a failure at the Adif control center in Estació de França, the fourth such event in less than a year.
