The Escola de Futbol del Ripollès (EFR) and Club Futbol Ribetana have formalized a collaboration agreement to strengthen grassroots football in the region, addressing challenges in forming complete teams.

The Escola de Futbol del Ripollès has finalized a collaboration agreement with the Club Futbol Ribetana with the primary goal of boosting grassroots football and ensuring that local children can play the sport in their own towns. This partnership does not involve an absorption of Ribetana's structures but rather mutual support to overcome challenges such as a lack of players.
The collaboration will allow Ribetana's teams to use the facilities in Ripoll and Campdevànol while improvement works are carried out at the Enric Requena i Albert municipal field in Ribes. Gerard Pous, sporting director of EFR, emphasized the importance of providing a service to children across the region, stating: "Together we are stronger."
Under this agreement, Ribetana will retain its youth team, which can serve as a feeder for the senior team, while other teams will be integrated into the EFR's structure. Adan Morillas, coordinator for Ribetana, believes this union is crucial for the future of regional football, leveraging the resources of three towns and four available pitches.
In addition to the agreement with Ribetana, the EFR has also established a collaboration with Unió Esportiva Vic. This alliance aims to offer EFR's most promising players the opportunity to compete in higher categories if their skills surpass the training offerings at the Ripoll school. The Vic-based entity, with 45 teams, will also assist EFR with coach training and tournament organization.
Gerard Pous highlighted that these synergies with nearby entities are a strategic move by the Escola de Futbol del Ripollès for its growth. Despite these advancements, the Ripoll-based entity anticipates it will not be able to field teams in all age groups this season, an objective they aim to achieve in the future.
