The Department of Territori and FGC consider the dialogue phase for the Vallter cable car project closed. Following meetings with political, social, and economic stakeholders in the Camprodon valley, it has been decided not to hold any public consultations initiated by the company or the Generalitat.
The Minister of Territori and government spokesperson, Sílvia Paneque, explained that the process aimed to inform the public and that the next steps involve project drafting and tendering. "I don't know if the town councils are planning any consultations, but the Generalitat government is not," Paneque stated during a visit to Vall de Núria.
The Vall de Núria station has implemented measures to adapt to climate change and achieve zero emissions, including a geothermal installation that reduces energy costs by over 70%. Paneque highlighted that the diesel savings anticipated for the first half of 2026 are equivalent to more than 2,000 car fuel tanks.
