The event was attended by various authorities, including Miquel Noguer, president of the Girona Provincial Council and mayor of Banyoles, and Amadeu Rosell, mayor of Llanars and president of the Ripollès Regional Council. Representatives from the Department of Agriculture of the Generalitat de Catalunya, members of Parliament, and mayors from the region were also present, accompanied by representatives from sector associations.
The livestock began arriving around 10 AM at Les Planes d'Espinavell, on a day marked by good weather that favored massive attendance. The jury, composed of members from the Federació de Cavall Pirinenc Català, evaluated the animals, granting the following awards: Best herd to Can Pastoret (Molló), Best mare and best filly to El Carol (Molló), Best stallion to La Illa (Llanars), and Best pair (mare and foal) to La Coromina (Molló).
During the ceremony, a tribute was paid to Joan Casas, head of the DARP's regional office in Ripollès for 33 years, who will soon retire. The winning number in the raffle was 0994.
Concurrently, an artisan fair was held featuring local products such as cheeses, cured meats, oil, and fruit. A shuttle bus service operated between Molló and the Espinavell fair, experiencing significant demand.
The Mulats Selection of Espinavell is organized by the Molló Town Hall, with support from the Girona Provincial Council and the Ripollès Regional Council.
