The contest jury, meeting at the Guissona City Council's Hall of Acts on September 9th, unanimously awarded the first prize of 100 euros to Assumpció Aubets Cases. The decision was announced after evaluating the submitted entries.
The jury, composed of Laura Puig Bernaus (communication technician at the Guissona Museum), Xavier Santesmasses Benet (journalist), and Joan Codina Donaire (artist), with Aida Santesmasses Farré (Festivals technician) as secretary, particularly considered originality, creativity, composition, artistic quality, and the images' relevance to the theme of Guissona's 2026 Festa Major.
The contest, promoted by the Guissona City Council via its Instagram profile @ajguissona, aimed to select a representative image of the Festa Major to serve as the cover for the following year's booklet. The call was open to Instagram users with public profiles, who had to follow the council's profile, tag their photos with #fmguissona2026, and submit images exclusively related to the 2026 Guissona Festa Major. Each participant could submit up to three photographs.
The winner will receive the 100 euro prize and exclusively cede the exploitation rights of the image to the Guissona City Council, allowing for its reproduction, distribution, and public communication.
Through this initiative, the Guissona City Council seeks to foster citizen participation and creativity on social media, capturing residents' perspectives on one of the most significant events in the local festive calendar.
