The new service, operated by Monbus, will initially run from Monday to Friday, with operating hours from 6:30 AM to 9:00 PM. In Guissona, the bus has stops at Plaça de la Plana and the junction of Llar d’Infants El Patufet. The route also includes stops in Torrefeta and Tarroja de Segarra, with the final destination being the Cervera Bus Station.
Integration into the ATM fare system makes journeys more affordable, with an approximate cost of between 0.40 and 0.50 euros for a trip between Guissona and Cervera. Additionally, passengers can utilize the train and bus connections in Cervera to continue towards Barcelona or Lleida.
The Guissona City Council has distributed informational leaflets detailing schedules and stops. A more comprehensive booklet will be published soon. Information is also available on social media and the municipal website. The council views this service as a first step towards a broader and more useful public transport network for the region.
The mobility working group will analyze the service's performance to explore future improvements, such as extended hours and additional connections. The City Council highlights the coordinated efforts of all administrations, particularly acknowledging the work of Susi López, Director General of Mobility and Territory for the Generalitat de Catalunya.
