A wildfire is burning uncontrollably in Sanaüja, in the Segarra region, since midday, requiring the deployment of 43 ground crews and 8 aerial units.

Firefighters are working intensely to contain a blaze that broke out in Sanaüja, within the Segarra region. The fire started around 1 PM in an agricultural zone and, despite efforts, is spreading uncontrollably, now reaching forestland and affecting approximately 40 hectares.
According to the Firefighters, the fire reached the ridge of the Serra de les Valls at high speed. Although its speed decreased after cresting the ridge, the fire is burning intensely. By mid-afternoon, the fire's head had re-entered areas with agricultural vegetation, a significant factor given the current harvest season in Segarra.
The Firefighters' hope lies in being able to halt the flames in the agricultural zone. The firefighting operation involves 43 ground crews and 8 aerial units. Additionally, local farmers are collaborating with their tractors to assist in controlling the fire.
Initially, the fire was low-intensity, affecting a cultivated field and a haystack, but its progression has been rapid, and it is now burning uncontrollably. Ground crews are focused on stabilizing the agricultural area, while aerial units are working to slow its advance in the forest zone. The emergency number 112 has received around sixty calls related to this incident.
