Sant Guim de Freixenet will host the Egg Fair on June 13-14, an event combining gastronomy, crafts, and local commerce, featuring restaurateur Ada Parellada as the guest of honor.

The municipality of La Segarra is preparing for a new edition of the Egg Fair, one of its most emblematic calendar events. The celebration aims to boost the local commercial fabric and industry through a blend of gastronomic activities, crafts, and local commerce.
The event will include the presentation of the Ous de Plata awards to the renowned restaurateur Ada Parellada, as well as a recognition for the century-old company Materials i Construccions Llacuna.
The program will kick off on Saturday, June 13, with a hearty breakfast at the Moll de l'Estació, led by chef Jordi Sangrà and featuring Jonathan Nuevo as a guest. There will also be a children's workshop organized by Lleure Quàlia at the Local Jove, and a tasting and pairing space with local producers, Gust de Lleida, at the Moll de l'Estació.
On Sunday, June 14, the town center will transform into a craft and food market spanning plaça del Doctor Perelló, passeig Enric Granados, and carrer Ricard Viñes. This day will also feature children's attractions and an exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of La Bressola at the Centre Cívic.
Sunday's activities will also include open doors at the Sindicat Modernista, a gathering of classic vehicles organized by the Club Clàssics Motor de Lleida on carrer Major, and performances by the Colla Gegantera de Santa Perpètua de Mogoda.
Gastronomy will be a central pillar, with fried egg servings in front of the Centre Cívic and an omelet competition at the pensioners' hall, including prizes and a tapa with purchase.
The main event at 1 PM will feature the official inauguration, the presentation of the Ous de Plata to Ada Parellada, recognition for Materials i Construccions Llacuna, and the breaking of a chocolate egg by Cal Gomà.
The fair will conclude with a children's show of acrobatics and comic magic, Akrobatik, in front of the church, followed by a popular snack with giant muffins from Cal Gomà and yogurt from El Pastoret.
