Alpicat has prepared a program of events for the National Day of Catalonia on September 10th and 11th, which includes the traditional Tossal de la Corona Climb and the Catxipanda Festival, with a new solidarity initiative.

The celebration will begin on Thursday, September 10th, at 9:00 PM, with a walking departure from the Casal for the 31st Tossal de la Corona Climb. The route will lead participants to the Bassa dels Rovinals and then to the Tossal, where the traditional flag change will take place. On the descent, the Women's Association (Associació de Dones) will offer sandwiches and drinks, and the Dansaires del Pi d’Alpicat will perform a sardana dance.
The following day, Friday, September 11th, the focus will be on the 43rd Catxipanda Festival at the Parc del Graó. The day will start with the preparation of plots for participating groups and a breakfast from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. During the morning, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, there will be a children's area with inflatable castles. In the afternoon and evening, Abel Purroy and Drey DJ will perform.
One of this year's new features is the ‘Catxipanda Solidària’ initiative. Alpicat Solidari and the Alpicat Food Bank (Banc d’Aliments d’Alpicat) will set up a stall in the Parc del Graó, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, to collect cleaning and personal hygiene products such as shower gel, shampoo, laundry soap, dish soap, or bleach. The organization encourages citizens to contribute to help those in need.
Ticket sales will take place on September 3rd and 4th at the Town Hall (Ajuntament) during office hours. Groups interested in confirming their participation can contact econtreras@alpicat.cat.
