Mayor Joan Gilart and councilwoman Yolanda Escuer attended last Sunday's celebration, which recognized six couples for their 50th wedding anniversaries and six godparents for their 85th birthdays.
The couples honored for their golden anniversaries were Lluís Terrés Saltó and Mercè Farran Olivé, Andreu Romero Peralta and Emília Pané Mateu, Isidro Soria Palagos and Almerinda Gili Pané, Rosa Cabasés Jornet and José Ramon Mor Ventura, Aurelio Gabarrella Navarro and M. Teresa Sanuy Capdevila, and José M. Abella Mercadé and M. Rosa Teixidó Capo.
The godparents celebrating their 85th birthdays were Antonio Farreres Català, Marta Garrigó Fregola, Jeroni Prats Castan, Salvador Roure Roure, Pepita Pajares Bueno, and Cinto Colomé Sarroca.
