Attendees at the observation points of La Seu Vella and Mangraners, organized by the Lleida City Council, rated the August 12th solar eclipse experience with an average score of 8.8 out of 10. According to opinions collected via the ticketing platform, out of 301 ratings received, 262 were positive, 28 neutral, and only 11 negative. The most frequent comments highlighted good organization and ambiance, while heat was the most noted aspect for improvement.
The event also had a positive impact on the city's tourism indicators. Merchandising sales at the Tourist Office and the Gardeny Templar Castle on August 12th grew by 79.65% compared to the previous year. Additionally, the Gardeny Templar Castle recorded its best summer day, with 127 visitors.
During the eclipse week, the Gardeny Templar Castle received a total of 296 visitors, an increase of 8.82% compared to 2025 and 12.98% compared to 2024. These figures confirm an upward trend in visitor numbers to the monument, which on August 12th reached the highest visitor count of the entire summer season.
The collected data highlights Lleida's capacity to organize major tourist and cultural events, with a positive impact on both attendee satisfaction and the city's overall tourism activity.
