The Lleida club saw its category loss confirmed last weekend, after a crucial draw against Vilassar de Mar. This situation marks the end of an era for the team in the Tercera Federación.
With relegation already confirmed, Lleida CF has an away match in l'Escala and a final home game at Camp d'Esports on May 10 against Vilanova i la Geltrú, to close out the season.
“"The week has been tough, because it's always harder to train without a sporting objective, but the team is calm because they have given their all."
The coach reflected on the campaign, highlighting the connection with the fans as a positive point, despite acknowledging the mental toll the season has taken.
“"On a personal level, I think it has been a very beautiful season because the communion we have had with the fans, I had always sought it in my previous stints at the club and had never experienced it, but it has also been a very mentally exhausting season."
Furthermore, it was announced that one of the key players will not participate in the match against l'Escala, as it is believed he deserves a rest.
