The Sant Anastasi Major Festival in Lleida celebrated its third day with a large public turnout, highlighting the giant figures gathering and the human towers display, despite unstable weather.

Popular culture took center stage on the third day of the Sant Anastasi Major Festival in Lleida, hosting several crowded events. The morning began with the 41st edition of the Trobada Gegantera (Giants Gathering) and a subsequent parade that marched through the city streets to Sant Joan Square. The procession was led by the gegantona Violant and the gegant Moro, who were commemorating their 75th anniversary. Upon reaching the square, the giants from Col·lectiu Cultural Cappont premiered a new dance.
Another central event was the human towers (castellera) display in Paeria Square, featuring performances by the Castellers de Lleida, the Colla Vella dels Xiquets de Valls, the Moixiganguers d’Igualada, and the Xiquets de Reus. The local castellers successfully built and dismantled their first 7-story tower of the season and a 4d8, among other structures. Earlier, the Castellers had organized the Toc de Matinades, where the grallers (traditional musicians) of the entity toured the city to the rhythm of drums and gralles.
Concurrently, the Camps Elisis venue offered activities for various audiences throughout the day, including a traditional dance exhibition by Esbart Arrels de Lleida, circus workshops and games by PonentCirc, and a bingo with musical vermouth. At the same time, the Molí de Vilanoveta hosted the floral offering to the image of the city's patron saint.
In the afternoon, rain and thunder made their appearance, but the Castellers were able to hold their electronic 'tardeo' (afternoon party) under cover on Lluís Besa Street. Afterward, the proclamation and its procession took place, encouraging Lleida residents to enjoy the remainder of the major festival. The start of the evening celebration, with a concert by local artist Elena, proceeded under the rain, which did not deter the audience from enjoying her original hip-hop and R&B. Also scheduled were performances by Selva Nua, the orchestra Vulkano, Durruti t’estimo, 31FAM, and, later in the night, the Valencian band Auxili.
The city council's Festival Councilor positively assessed the celebration's progress, highlighting the absence of significant incidents. He emphasized that Friday's spectacle of 300 drones flying over the Seu Vella was one of the most attended events, as were Saturday's concerts by Sexy Zebras and the Lleida band Renaldo & Clara.
