This prestigious tournament, taking place from Sunday, May 10 to Saturday, May 16, marks the fourth consecutive year that the club's facilities in Segrià host this globally significant competition. The event will kick off with the qualifying phase, scheduled for Sunday, May 10 and Monday, May 11, dates that coincide with the public holidays of the Festa Major de Sant Anastasi in the capital of Segrià.
The qualifying phase will include two draws, one male and one female, each with 32 participants. In this initial stage, six local tennis players from CT Lleida – Daniel Culleré, Àlex Ros, Axel Romero, Álvaro Garcia, David Sánchez, and Zenaida Ruiz – will compete to advance to the main draws. These draws, also with 32 players each, will begin on Tuesday, May 12 and culminate with the finals on Saturday, May 16.
The final rounds will feature the participation of five other tennis players from the region: Víctor Palomar, Martí Franco, and Bruno Melé, all from CT Lleida. In the women's category, Cèlia Torrelles (CT Lleida) and Anna Noguero (CN Lleida), the latter with a wild card, will also be present. Additionally, the tournament will include doubles draws, both male and female, with 16 pairs in each modality.
The Catalonia Open stands out for its international category, being a key stop on the ITF junior world circuit, which brings together some of the most prominent tennis prospects globally. This circuit spans 150 countries and includes 650 tournaments, among which the Lleida event has gained a prominent place, repeating as host for the fourth time since its first edition in the Ponent region in 2023.
