The city of Lleida celebrated one of the most significant days of its Major Festival yesterday, with thousands of participants enjoying a broad cultural and traditional program, despite the forecast of rain.

The day was marked by a diversity of events, ranging from dance competitions to folklore displays. The Mercat del Pla hosted the Breaking Rock2Flavour championship, while Plaça Sant Joan became the epicenter of folkloric expressions.
In this space, performances by Raíces de ZAHUTE from Casa de Aragón and the dance school of Casa de Andalucía were featured. In the afternoon, the 40th edition of the Lleida Folkloric Festival included the participation of the Ecuadorian dance group Saihua, enriching the city's cultural program.
Younger audiences had their own entertainment with the show De nassos by Sac Espectacles, which brought live music and humor to the Eix Comercial. Electronic music also had its place with the Vermut Electrònic, featuring DJ Alemartinelis & Parra, and Algoritmo's session at the Fira.
The culmination of the celebration arrived with the Children's Correfoc and the main Correfoc, which saw the participation of the Diables de Lleida, the Dimonis dels Trons, the Drac Carrincló, and the Marraquets. The night concluded with a street party at the Camps Elisis, offering a selection of musicians and artists such as Renaldo & Clara, Valdivia, Callum Beattie, the Sexy Zebras, the Orquestra Jamaica, and Mama Dousha, among others, in an evening with a distinct Lleida flavor.
