A pedestrian-only school path has been created, marked with green paint and protected by removable bollards. These barriers are installed at the start of the school year and removed during the summer, aiming to ensure a safer environment for students.
Additionally, a new pedestrian crossing connecting to El Pou street has been marked. The road surface also features new horizontal markings to alert drivers to the proximity of a school zone, promoting more cautious driving.
To reduce vehicle speeds on Sant Àngel street, speed bumps have been installed. The Councilor for Education, Albert Mòdol, emphasized that the goal is to create a space "safer and calmer for our children" during their school commutes.
These improvements coincide with European Mobility Week, during which the City Council will organize two activities on Tuesday the 22nd.
