The land, located next to Alfarràs street, was used as a temporary storage area for materials and machinery from recent construction projects, such as the bike lane on Prat de la Riba avenue. Although cleared about three months ago, the area remains filled with soil and spontaneous vegetation.
Sources from the Paeria (City Council) have stated that the space is not a green area but a buildable lot where grass grows naturally. They confirmed its temporary use for storing materials from both the Prat de la Riba project and public lighting improvements.
The city council indicated that the lot will be reviewed, and if necessary, cleaning or regularization of the responsible company's duties will be ordered. The area, currently unfenced, is also occasionally used by vehicles for parking.
