The National Children's Stick Dance Gathering of Catalonia, one of this year's novelties, brought together seven children's groups in the Cathedral Square, Carrer Major, and Plaça Sant Joan. The event, organized by the Colla Bastonera del Pla de l'Aigua, concluded with a joint Ball de l’Esquerrana.
The day also included family activities such as the Animalada Infantil in the Doctora Castells avenue and the show Pels Núvols in the Dipòsit Square. Additionally, the Pista de la Panera hosted the traditional vermouth concert with the Grup Voravent, followed by performances by DJ Rafa Ariño and students from the DJ Workshop of LleidaJove&AM+.
The afternoon's musical program features Vespreig sessions in the Font dels Tritons Square with DJ Gaby Gómez and DJ Feren, and the Vibra Collective Showcase at Espai Cavallers. The Cathedral will host the XXVIII Festival d'Orgues de Ponent i del Pirineu, while Plaça Sant Joan will be the stage for the Tarda d'Esbarts (Traditional Dance Afternoon) with the participation of Esbart Egarenc de Terrassa and Esbart Arrels de Lleida.
The most anticipated event of the night is the Gran Nit de Foc, Canya a la banya! (Great Night of Fire), which is resuming its route along the Aragó avenue. The "plantada de bèsties" (display of traditional beasts) will take place in Cervantes Square, and the spectacle will unfold in front of the Rectorate.
Participating in this night of fire will be the Dimonis dels Trons with their new fire 'Capgròs' (giant head), accompanied by the Marraquets, the Carrincló dragon, and lo Marraco. Invited beasts will also be present: the Víbria de Castelló, the Drac dels Monjos, and the Pedrafoc de Tàrrega. Musical entertainment will be provided by Banda Retocada, Carreter, and Xip Xap!.
