The Lleida Guardia Urbana criminally charged a driver who, after suffering a road departure accident on Estudi General Avenue early Tuesday, refused to take the breathalyzer test.

The main incident occurred at 1:57 AM when emergency services were alerted to a possible crash. Upon arrival, the Mossos d'Esquadra confirmed that the vehicle had left the road and the driver was found sleeping at the wheel. The Guardia Urbana, which holds traffic jurisdiction within the city of Lleida, was activated to perform the alcohol test.

The driver's refusal to undergo the alcohol test led to his indictment for a crime against road safety.

In another incident during the same early hours of Tuesday, the Guardia Urbana arrested a 32-year-old man on Carrer Camp de Mart. The individual is the alleged perpetrator of a robbery inside a car. Officers were alerted and, after searching the area, located and detained the suspect, who had prior records for similar offenses.
Finally, the Local Police reported another arrest made yesterday afternoon (referring to January 6). A man was detained as the alleged perpetrator of a domestic abuse crime following a complaint filed the previous day.
