The announcement of Toni Vicente's return to Lleida CF was made public this Tuesday afternoon, confirming the incorporation of the 26-year-old player into the first team during the winter market.
Vicente, originally from La Seu d'Urgell, returns to the club two years after his departure. During this period, he played half a season at Penya Deportiva de Santa Eulària in Ibiza. Subsequently, he returned to the capital of Segrià to join Atlètic Lleida, and finally spent a season at Mollerussa, a club he left just a few weeks ago.
Before this itinerant stage, Toni Vicente spent eleven seasons in the youth ranks of Lleida CF, starting in the children's category, joining at just 13 years old. He debuted with the first team in November 2020 in a match against Llagostera that ended in a 1-0 victory for Lleida. The following season, 2021-22, he became the team captain.
In addition to his long history at the club, Toni Vicente is the son of the late Emili Vicente, a historical figure of UE Lleida as a player and coach, who lends his name to the pre-season trophy “Emili Vicente”.
