Lleida's EMAU has intensified the acquisition of nearly 50 homes in La Mariola to advance neighborhood transformation, and has greenlit the development of 88 affordable housing units in Torre Salses.

Lleida's Municipal Urban Agenda Company (EMAU) continues to expand its affordable housing stock, with a special focus on the La Mariola neighborhood. By the end of the year, approximately fifty municipal homes are expected to be available in this area.
During the Board of Directors meeting, recent acquisitions were reported, including several properties within the La Mariola Urban Improvement Plan (PMU). Eight of these homes are located on Cardenal Cisneros, Júpiter, Mart, and Músic Vivaldi streets, among others. These operations facilitate the PMU's deployment, which encompasses eleven buildings and 435 homes, aiming for the neighborhood's urban and social regeneration.
Concurrently, the establishment of the surface right on a municipal plot at Francesc Bordalba i Montardit, 20, in Torre Salses, has been approved. This agreement will enable the social developer Llogueralia Catalunya SL to promote the construction and management of 88 affordable housing units.
The development will include 76 two-bedroom units and 12 three-bedroom units, with approximate monthly rents ranging from 365 to 478 euros. This initiative continues a public-private collaboration project between the Paeria and Grup Rubau.
Finally, the Board of Directors approved the tender conditions for the sale of a second lot of 20 parking spaces in the car park at Guillem de Beziers, 1. These spaces, numbered 145 to 164, are in addition to the 28 previously put up for sale.
