The Palau de Vidre in Lleida will host the first emerging and solidarity music fair with Gambia on November 13th and 14th. The event aims to fund the construction of a primary care and maternity center.

The initiative, organized by the NGO Superant Fronteres with the support of the Lleida City Council and other entities, will feature the altruistic participation of about fifteen emerging groups and artists from the city. The main objective is to raise funds to build a health center in Omorto, a region of Gambia lacking medical facilities.
David Mora, president of Superant Fronteres, presented the 'BANTABA' project, which plans to start construction of the center next week. This center will offer basic health services and aims to expand in the future to become a hospital.
Jackson Quiñónez, Councilor for Cooperation of the Lleida City Council, praised the initiative, highlighting the importance of volunteering and emerging artists for a significant cause. He invited citizens to participate, emphasizing the municipal support for such initiatives necessary for social growth.
Mora detailed that the initial phase of the health project costs 250,000 euros and stressed the urgency of providing health infrastructure to the area of Gambia, where maternal and infant mortality rates are "dramatic".
In addition to fundraising, the fair aims to be a platform for emerging musical talent from Lleida, with the hope that it will become an annual event in the city's cultural calendar. "We are very ambitious," Mora stated, confident in its success thanks to the collaboration of administrations, sponsors, volunteers, and artists.
The fair will begin on the afternoon of Friday, November 13th, and continue throughout Saturday, November 14th, offering a wide range of musical styles. On Friday, La Niña Paracaídas, Sexenio, Valdivia, Gasset, Cash Cats, and Anker will perform. Saturday will feature Jet Lag, Er Taqueta, Código Rock, Giancarlo, Madelmans, Sangue, Punk Floïds, Eligius 432, and Dèria.
Tickets, which can now be reserved through the platform entrapolis.com, cost 5 euros for capacity control purposes, which includes a drink. Entry is free in concept.
