Language awareness workshop for monitors in Arbúcies.

The Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística (CNL) of Girona has organized initiatives in Arbúcies to foster the use of Catalan among students and in various community sectors.

To reinforce Catalan language teaching, awareness sessions are being held for different population groups. These sessions aim to encourage language use and promote reflection on linguistic attitudes and practices.
On October 1st, a workshop was held in Arbúcies for monitors responsible for assisted study in primary and secondary schools. This marks the third session within the annual training provided to monitors through the Educational Environment Plan (PEE). The workshop covers the sociolinguistic context and strategies for teaching and maintaining Catalan. Mid-term, the usefulness of the presented resources will be evaluated, and new ones will be sought if necessary.
Furthermore, on October 6th, the first meeting of the Language Commission of the PEE took place in Arbúcies. This initial gathering allowed for an overview of Catalan-related activities carried out by educational centers, the municipal library, and the Oficina de Català. Needs were identified, and short-term and long-term proposals were made.
