Under the slogan “Knowledge at the service of nature,” the evening showcased how scientific research helps address current environmental challenges, such as the protection and recovery of the natural environment amidst climate and global change.
The event began at the Enric “Kike” Ballesteros Auditorium at the Centre's headquarters with an introduction to the key concepts. Participants then moved to the terrace to learn about various scientific research projects on ecological conservation and restoration, and to interact with the scientific teams involved.
CEAB Night provided concrete examples of how scientific knowledge informs effective strategies for the conservation and restoration of different ecosystems.
This initiative is part of the European Researchers' Night, a well-established European event dedicated to science popularization. Its aim is to bring research and innovation closer to people of all ages in an accessible and fun way, celebrated annually in over 300 cities across 30 European countries.
