The Instruction Court 3 of Santa Coloma de Farners has dismissed the 'Manga Case' concerning alleged corruption in the La Selva region, concluding the investigation thirteen years after its initiation.

The case, which involved about fifty individuals under investigation, came to light in February 2013 following an operation by the Customs Surveillance Service. This investigation was a branch of the 'Pokemon Case', started in Lugo, which targeted an alleged network of bribery and influence peddling to secure public contracts.
The judicial resolution, accessed by the ACN, orders the dismissal because “the time for instruction has been largely exceeded.” The case led to the resignation of Robert Fauria, then president of the Comarcal Council and mayor of Sant Hilari, and Josep Carrapiço, organization secretary of ERC.

"The time for instruction has been largely exceeded."
