The traditional XXXVII Cursa Mar i Murtra will take place in Blanes next Sunday, January 11, featuring four athletic modalities and a limit of 750 participants, with registration almost complete.

This competition, one of the most historic athletic events in the municipality, is organized by the Grup Fondistes Blanes with the support of the City Council. This year marks its 37th edition, offering 9 km and 17 km trail running events, a 10 km Fast race, and the 20 km Clàssica Mar i Murtra.
The starts and finishes for all modalities will be held at the Passeig de Mar, near Carrer Ample. Three staggered start times have been set: the two trail events start together at 9:00 AM; the 20 km classic race at 9:15 AM, and the 10 km Fast race at 9:30 AM.

With only about twenty bibs remaining for the longer events, participation is nearing the maximum allowed capacity of 750 athletes.

Demand has been very high, as registration for the 9 km Trail and the 10 km Fast are already full. Due to the impossibility of using the pedestrian bridge in the Mas Borinot neighborhood, the organization had to slightly adapt all routes. The race venue opens at 8:00 AM for bib collection, and the awards ceremony will take place at 12:00 PM.
